Best Management Practice and Heavy Equipment Simulator Training
Golden Triangle is dedicated to providing high-quality training to local county road departments, public individuals, and other heavy equipment organizations, focusing on the implementation of effective erosion control and sediment management practices to safeguard the water quality of our streams, creeks, and ponds.
Our Best Management Practices (BMP) Training equips participants with the essential knowledge and skills needed to effectively manage erosion and sedimentation, based on the Better Back Roads Field Manual for unpaved roads. These BMPs are crucial for minimizing environmental impacts, ensuring road and community safety, and ultimately achieving the goal of improving water quality.
In addition to BMP training, Golden Triangle offers Heavy Equipment Simulator Training, which provides participants with hands-on experience in operating heavy machinery used in roadwork, erosion control, and conservation efforts. The simulator provides a safe, controlled environment where operators can practice with equipment such as bulldozers, graders, and excavators, without the risks of damage or injury. This innovative approach enhances learning by allowing operators to develop new skills, cross-train on different equipment, and build confidence before transitioning to realworld machinery in the field.
By combining BMP and Heavy Equipment Simulator Training, we ensure that participants are not only proficient in environmental best practices but also skilled in the safe and efficient operation of machinery. This dual training approach plays a key role in enhancing the effectiveness of erosion control efforts, reducing environmental damage, and enabling local counties to meet the challenges of land and water conservation.
Through these programs, Golden Triangle is committed to fostering a knowledgeable, skilled workforce that will protect Georgia’s natural resources and improve the quality of life for its residents.
