The Golden Triangle RC&D (Resource, Conservation, and Development) Council is a vibrant 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization fueled by passionate volunteers and visionary local leaders. We unite to tackle pressing community challenges, crafting innovative strategies and launching impactful programs across our member counties. Our core focus areas include Land Conservation and Management, Water Conservation, Community Development, and the Arts.

We actively collaborate with state, federal, and local agencies, amplifying our impact across 19 counties in Southwest Georgia, including Baker, Calhoun, Clay, Decatur, Dougherty, Early, Grady, Lee, Miller, Mitchell, Randolph, Terrell, Thomas, Seminole, Stewart, Sumter, Quitman, Webster, and Worth.
The Four Focus Areas of Golden Triangle RC&D
Land Conservation and Management - Councils work with local partners to identify, fund and complete land conservation projects, along with supporting landowners in implementing Best Management Practices (BMP’s) to get the most from their land, both now and in the future.
Water Conservation - RC&D Water Conservation Projects often create recreation opportunities that also create jobs and make communities more attractive to development.
Community Development- Working with community partners to improve quality of life and address infrastructure needs in rural areas.
Cultural Arts – Collaborating with community partners and local artists to establish a vibrant focal point in the Golden Triangle service delivery area, where creativity and culture converge, enriching both urban and rural communities and inspiring locals and visitors to fully engage with its rich tapestry.
